If you are looking for free car decals, stickers or other ways to express yourself, there are countless sources for you to choose from. In fact, there are so many cool freebies to choose from you could easily cover your whole car with stickers!
Finding Free Car Decals, Stickers
Finding free car decals and stickers is pretty easy. There are loads of sites that list freebies, including stickers and decals. However, the problem you often find is that the links are old and may be invalid when you get to them.
Because it's hard to keep up with long lists like this, some freebie sites have a feature that allows readers to "flag" a link as no longer valid. Unfortunately, most don't offer this feature, so you'll just have to weed through each link to see which ones still offer free stickers for your car.
Keep in mind that most do not specify that these decals are for your car unless they say that it's a bumper sticker. However, common sense dictates that a sticker or decal for your car would need to be vinyl, not paper. Paper will fade and eventually wash away from the elements (not to mention, the car wash).
A few places to scour for freebies include:
Free With a Catch
There are many places that offer free stickers and decals with the purchase of their products. One example of this is DecalKits.com. They offer a wide range of decal kits for any taste. They also give you a few freebies with each purchase. Other places offer free stickers or decals, but you have to print them yourself or send a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) in order to get them. Printable stickers will need to be printed on appropriate "paper" to make them work on your car. As mentioned above, paper stickers really don't work well on a vehicle. If you don't have a problem with those requirements, here are a few places to check out:
- USA Traffic Signs offers 10 free vinyl American flag stickers for a SASE.
- Rotary Decals gives a free Mazda decal of your choice if you put their link on your website or blog, or if you include it in your forum signature.
Safety Decals
Some organizations offer free car decals to help promote car safety. For example, Kid in Car offers a Kid in Car window sticker to remind yourself and others about the dangers of leaving a child alone in a car. It is available in English and Spanish. Generate Kindness.org offers their free car sticker to remind everyone to be kind to one another. Who knows, you may prevent someone's road-rage with this gentle reminder.
Remind drivers to watch for wildlife (or even pets) on the roads with the Humane Society's "Give Wildlife a Brake" bumper sticker.
Fun Stuff
- Hottest Mom in America is currently offering a free "Hot Mom Driving" car magnet. Obviously, a removable magnet is ideal to prevent the embarrassment of any dads who may have to drive the family car.
This is just a short list of the many fun free stickers and decals available online. A simple web search on "free car decals" or something similar will yield pages and pages of results. So have some fun and tell everyone what you think! Slap a few stickers or decals on your car. For more information about car decals, check out the following LoveToKnow Cars resources.
