Luxury coupes combine sophistication and sportiness. They're the gentleman's (or lady's) hot rod. The following vehicles stand out as the best luxury coupes on the market.

About the Lexus RC

Drop-dead gorgeous looks, a powerful engine, and unwavering reliability define the Lexus RC. Introduced in 2015, the RC has redefined the Luxury coupe segment.

The Lexus RC easily swaggered its way onto Kelly Blue Book's (KBB) list of top coupes for 2017. Outside, the RC sports an aggressive exterior that helps reel in younger buyers. Inside, this coupe is as classy as a New York penthouse and as comfortable, too. A wide range of luxury options is available, including a booming sound system, top-notch infotainment system, and a full leather interior. A wide range of engine options can be had, from a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder to a fire-breathing 5.0L eight-cylinder. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with optional all-wheel drive available.

Cost

While the base price of the RC won't break the bank, optional equipment can add up. KBB lists the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) as an affordable $41,000, but that figure climbs to over $70,000 for a heavily equipped sports model.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe

Since 1993, Mercedes-Benz has been building an executive car known as the E-Class. The big Benz is well-known for being available in wagon and sedan form, but many consumers don't know it is also available as a Coupe.

Like the Lexus RC, the 2017 Mercedes -Benz E-Class also graces the KBB Top Coupe list. Mercedes vehicles are known for being well endowed in lux, and the E-Class is no exception. The exterior of the E-Class is subtly swanky, with graceful body lines and a distinctive front fascia. As for the habitable portion of the coupe, it's adorned in leather and sports an abundance of tech goodies. Of course, luxury and power go hand in hand, which is why the E-Class offers two powerful engines. Under the hood, you'll find either a 3.0L twin-turbo, six-cylinder or a 4.7L twin-turbo, eight-cylinder. Rear-wheel drive is standard with optional all-wheel drive available.

Cost

KBB lists E-Class pricing as starting at $55,000. Like most luxury vehicles, this number climbs once the options start piling on.

BMW M6

Big and expensive sum up the 2017 BMW M6, but the cost is worth it. The M6 has been the object of desire for many motor heads since its introduction in 1983.

Products from Bavarian Motor Works typically draw applause. The 2017 BMW M6 follows suit by earning a score of 9.5/10 from TrueCar. Seductive describes the sheet metal of the M6, with its flowing body lines and distinctive kidney-shaped grille. The interior of the Beemer offers a cornucopia of luxury features including amenities such as Nappa leather, ventilated seats and a heads-up display that's straight out of a sci-fi movie. There's plenty of brawn under the hood as well, in the form of either a 3.0L twin-turbo-charged six-cylinder or 4.4L twin-turbo-charged engine. Power is sent to the rear wheels unless you order up the optional all-wheel drive.

Cost

BMW and cheap don't belong in the same sentence. The 2017 M6 is a testament to this fact with a base MSRP of $78,600, according to KBB.

Aston Martin Vanquish

James Bond is a classy guy, which is why he often drives an Aston Martin. In fact, 007 drove a Vanquish in his 2002 film, Die Another Day. The Vanquish has been in production since 2001 and remains an incredible piece of British engineering.

If a car is good enough for James Bonde, it's good enough for anyone. However, the British Coupe has awards to back up its prestige. According to the Aston Martin website, the 2017 Vanquish received top honors at the Autocar Awards. What sets the Vanquish apart the most, is its exquisite exterior. The interior, however, is where the luxury is. Full-grain Luxmill leather abounds, as do high-quality materials and an endless array of tech gadgets. The sole engine option is a 5.9L twelve-cylinder engine, sending power to the rear wheels.

Cost

Yep, the Aston Martin Vanquish is expensive. Per KBB, pricing starts at $292,000 and can escalate to over $325,000.

Infiniti Q60

In 2014, the Infiniti Q60 replaced the aging G-series coupe. For 2017, the Q-60 has been redesigned into one of the sexiest machines on the road.

Car and Driver dubbed the 2017 Q60 "another aspirant to the crown." This comes as no surprise, given the fact the Q60 is a four-wheeled wonder. The exterior remains true to the concept cars unprecedented looks, enabling the Q60 to stand out in any parking lot. Inside, you'll find typical luxury car features such as leather and power everything. In addition, there are all the latest tech features such as 360-degree camera system supporting active safety features and adaptive cruise control. Engine options include a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder and a pair of 3.0L twin-turbocharger six-cylinders. The power is set to the rear wheels unless you opt for all-wheel drive.

Cost

Compared to the other vehicles on the list, the Q60 seems like a venerable bargain. According to KBB, Pricing starts at just under $40,000.

Jaguar F-Type

Many feel the classic Jaguar E-Type is the most beautiful car ever produced. The modern F-Type, introduced in 2013, carries the torch with its drop-dead gorgeous looks.

The F-Type has proved beauty is more than skin-deep. Jaguar is quick to point out the F-Type received the World Car of the Year award when it debuted. It's true; the sensuous exterior is what draws onlookers to the F-Type. However, once they're hooked, they learn to appreciate the high-class interior equipped with leather, heated seats, and every other amenity one would desire in a sports coupe. Of course, it's imperative Britain's top cat has plenty of power under the hood. The F-Type is packing either a 3.0L supercharged six-cylinder engine or a 5.0L supercharged eight-cylinder. Rear-wheel drive is standard fare, with all-wheel drive available for extra dough.

Cost

If you want to stash an F-Type in your garage, plan on plunking down at least $62,395, which is the base MSPR, according to KBB.

Cadillac ATS-V

The Cadillac ATS is a luxury executive sedan introduced in 2013. The ATS-V is its evil twin, decked out in high-performance coupe attire.

What's not to love about a lightning-fast Cadillac with an available manual transmission (the only Cadillac model to offer one)? The ATS-V scores high ratings across the board, including a 5/5 from Edmunds. Appearance wise, the ATS-V is stunning, with chiseled bodywork and LED-lighting. Although the ATS-V is a sports coupe, it draws on its luxury underpinnings to provide a supple interior and comfortable driving experience. The high-quality materials throughout convey opulence, as do the plethora of tech options. Engine options include either a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder, 3.6L six-cylinder or a 3.6L twin-turbo-charged six-cylinder. For maximum burnouts, all ATS-V models are equipped with rear-wheel drive.

Cost

According to KBB, you can slide into an ATS-V for around $61,760.
